Homemade Potpourri

Homemade Potpourri – country crafts Easy to make, this craft will fill your home with lovely scents of the season! Homemade Potpourri – country crafts Apple slices are dipped in lemon juice and placed on a rack. I dried them in the oven , on the lowest setting. Homemade Potpourri – country crafts Orange slices, which look phenominal on a Christmas tree by the way, are patted dry with paper towel, to remove as much moisture as possible before drying in the oven. Place on a rack as well.
I open my oven door now and again, to allow the heat and humidity to escape as not to bake them; and because checking on them is fun…
Put them in the oven after breakfast, and they should be dried sometime after supper.
To the mix, add cinnamon sticks and cloves to the apples, and I added anise to the oranges. Come up with your own scent~ add sprigs of rosemary,…whatever your heart desires! I removed the lids, and covered the tops of the jars with calico, so the scent would come through~
These make lovely gifts. Tie with raffia and add a primitive tag!
