Tip #1: When choosing a pattern, make sure to read the description on the back of the envelope and examine
the illustrations closely to make sure the item has the design details you want. What you see on a model can
look very different from the actual sewn item.

Tip #2: Since there are usually many layout options printed on a guide sheet, circle the particular layout you’re
following to keep from getting confused – and circle it in pencil, so you can erase it later when making a
different version of the item.
