I set up “Avocado Connection 1” right in front of me and painted it “from life.” An artist sees so much more painting this way, and the results from this method frequently have a vitality that paintings developed at a more leisurely pace lack. M A T E R I A L S I lavishly reproduce the colors of my artwork with archival inks on 16 mil, smooth white cotton, archival paper. If protected from direct sunlight and moisture, my prints will give you 75 years or more of pleasure. The simple white mat is archival grade acid-free. E X P E R I E N C E Color is important. We react emotionally to color, and those reactions are so intermingled with our visceral feelings, color virtually is emotion. Different colors elicit different feelings based on personal experience and cultural significance. Color has spiritual power; it’s beauty can soothe and inspire the human spirit.
