20 thanksgiving home decor interior design ideas

I’m happy to be joining my inspiring friends for the Thankful To bHome Blog Tour today, where I’ll be sharing our Thanksgiving dining room. There’s just something about the calendar flipping to November that starts me dreaming of Christmas. (You too?) Do you ever wonder when the best time is to transition your home from fall to Christmas? We used to wait until after Thanksgiving, but here’s the problem: Since we decorate for fall in September, that’s three months of fall and only one month left for Christmas. It started feeling rushed. Last year, we transitioned for Christmas early, and our three sons asked, “But what about Thanksgiving?” So here’s the plan for this year… We will keep fall – and a Thanksgiving feel – in our dining room, where we will host Thanksgiving this year. In the rest of our house, we’ll ease into Christmas and enjoy decorating a little at a time, without the hurry. I loved finding the persimmons below (that resemble little pumpkins with personality :) at Trader Joe’s. Mason jars with candlelight hang from a vintage orchard ladder in the corner. We have a similar look on our front porch. Our boys are excited to start getting our home ready for Christmas, but will not have to ask, “What about Thanksgiving?” this year. Which is good.
