WHISKY MAKES ME FRISKY BALLS

  • One 16oz. box of Powdered Sugar
  • 4 Tblsp. butter, room temp.
  • 3 Tblsp. Maker’s Mark Whisky (an airline bottle will do)
  • 1 c. Pecans, finely chopped
  • Two 8oz. containers of hard chocolate shell chips (found in produce aisle near the strawberries)
  • 4 Tblsp. Pecans, finely chopped for the top

How to

In small bowl, pour whisky over 1 c. chopped pecans.  Set aside.  In separate bowl, mix powdered sugar and butter for two minutes on medium speed.  It will be crumbly.  Add whiskied pecans.  beat for another minute.  It will form into a dough.  Roll dough into balls.  I like them bite size.  Refrigerate.  Meanwhile, melt chocolate in microwave according to package directions.  Dip balls into chocolate two or three balls at a time.  Place on wax paper and immediately sprinkle with pecans before shell hardens.  Refrigerate at least two hours before serving.  They stay fresh for 3-4 days if you don’t eat them all first.  And I will be honest with you, they have sat in my fridge (in the back where I hide them from my family) and they last a week or so.  Makes approximately 34 balls.
