The walls were painted with the wonderful color Matilda from Beckers.
The hall had previously white walls and somehow the beautiful white joinery disappeared when it was too white. The gray gives a warm and calm base and the white becomes clean and skirt.
The floor is a few shades darker than the walls and even here it has been painted with the shade Alfred.
The stairs were painted with high gloss joinery paint.
I bought the old hat shelf at auction and it has had to keep its brown wood color. For a long time, I thought about painting it black or white, but now I think the brown will be so beautiful against the gray. I never thought that brown could marry so well together with gray, but here I think they complement each other perfectly.
I am very weak for black high gloss handrails and was about to start painting but regretted when I wanted to get a little calmer environment. Getting a black exclamation mark through the hall would be too much against the brown hat shelf.

Here we brought out the old raw spot on the wall, which was painted with floor paint. I wanted to create an illusion that the floor continues up the wall.
