Tip #1: Always press your pattern pieces before laying them onto your fabric. Using wrinkled pattern pieces –
no matter how much you try to smooth them out by hand – can lead to inaccurate fabric pieces that don’t
match up quite right and a poor fitting garment.

Tip #2: Pressing over pins isn’t usually recommended. But if you must press over pins, use flat-head or no-head
metal pins. They’re less likely to leave a permanent impression in your fabric and won’t melt under the heat of
an iron.
