I open my oven door now and again, to allow the heat and humidity to escape as not to bake them; and because checking on them is fun…
Put them in the oven after breakfast, and they should be dried sometime after supper.
To the mix, add cinnamon sticks and cloves to the apples, and I added anise to the oranges. Come up with your own scent~ add sprigs of rosemary,…whatever your heart desires! I removed the lids, and covered the tops of the jars with calico, so the scent would come through~
These make lovely gifts. Tie with raffia and add a primitive tag!
