Crochet rug

The idea of ??crocheting a carpet or a mat came from Trine from everyday junkie. You can see the initial post here . You can see how her rug looks in a much more advanced version. I could immediately see that it would be the perfect solution for Miss Blue. Because it is a little problem that it is not so well insulated. You can sleep in it, even if it is not summer and 30 degrees, but due to the poor insulation, the feet ‘meeting with the icy floor in the morning can make it ice up all the way to the tooth neck. But with a nice soft blanket to put your feet on, I hope it will be a little better.

For this purpose I have cut all my old bed sets from the 90s in the color scheme pink / orange / yellow / lime green up and a part of my mother’s old sheets and pillowcases from the 70s (and just worry, I only cut in the single-colored – I shouldn’t enjoy any of the kreablogger’s resentment if I had cut in true retro dust).

So far I have reached so far: I can see that the edge looks skewed on the picture, but that is not the reality.

So I finished the crocheted carpet for the caravan . I have been really happy with the result and I even managed it without getting lasting but – faithful readers will remember that I got blisters and aches in hands and arms when I started . But pain is fortunately nothing but weakness that leaves the body, so it should just crochet away.

Something happens with the angle of the picture here. The carpet looks long, but it is only 112 cm in length – and it covers the whole floor of the caravan, and that says a little about the size of it.

I ended up using: approx. 3 duvet covers, 2 sheets and 3-4 pillow cases. And I have said it before, but it is really all the time to get used to old covers which have become slightly faded in the colors or are just too thin-worn or outdated in the colors – and then it’s totally free to just put some working hours in it.
